Mid-century Finnish art glass cylinder vase. Engraved "Heikki Orvola Nuutajarvi Notsjo". It is part of the "Volcano" series, known for its opaque color and abstract black inclusions.

HISTORY
Heikki Orvola is an award-winning Finnish designer as well as a glass and textile artist. He has worked as a designer and artist for decades. Glass, ceramics, textiles, cast iron and enamel are his characteristic materials. He has designed objects for, among others, Nuutajärvi, Arabia, Iittala, Marimekko and Alessi. Orvola is a founding member of the Arabia Art Department Society, which was established in 2003.
