About the Item

Rare mockup vase designed by Henning Koppel (1928–1981) for Georg Jensen, executed in copper with a silver-plated interior. This piece was created as a prototype, allowing Koppel and the Georg Jensen workshop to test proportions, form, and functionality before production in silver. Koppel, one of Denmark’s most celebrated mid-century designers, is renowned for his fluid, organic forms that marry elegance with practicality. This mockup showcases the signature sculptural, modernist aesthetic that defined Koppel’s work while offering unique insight into his design process. Acquired from a former Silversmith at the Georg Jensen workshop.
