About the Item
Imposing pair of Louis XIV bronze altar vessels surmounted by embossed and painted iron floral decoration.
Italy, second half of the 17th century.
The vessels are made of bronze: it has a body decorated with lobed motifs and vertical grooves at the top. The foot has a square, molded base.
The finely embossed floral decoration has preserved the original polychromy.
