Product Description:
Isak Isakkson, the maker of this beautiful vase, is a master in the art of creating glazings that truly blow you away. The artist is still active, has his own instagram account and a webpage as well giving you insight in the different glazes he uses and sheds some light on the production process as well.
The particular vase on offer here has a beautiful matte red / pink background with white / yellow looking spots in it. The patina has an organic touch to it. The patina looks a little like a fungal culture or like calcium stains. It is amazing that the organic look is created by using chemicals. If you want to know more about the way in which the patinas have been made please check out the website of the artis. Besides the patina, the form of the vase is beautiful as well with a wide body and slim neck.
The vase comes into its own in a showcase or elevated on a floating shelf.
Product Condition:
The vase is in very good condition. There is one small grey / black stain present on the vase, it is not clear whether the stain was created in the process of manufacturing or if it was added aftwerwards. Regardless of the origination of the stain it is not disturbing the item's beauty.
