About the Item

A green vase with a lovely crystalline glaze designed by Isak Isaksson in Sweden. The vase is 9 cm (3.55") tall and about 12.5 cm (5") wide and it is in excellent condition. This is a unique vase hand-thrown by Isak Isaksson, it is signed as on photo. It is in excellent condition. Isak is one of the most well known contemporary ceramic artists in Sweden. Isak Isaksson was born in 1949 and is one of Sweden´s leading contemporary ceramic artists. Isak has become a master in throwing and a specially in glazing. Isak has been exhibit numerous of times all over the world and in 2019 he received the title of certified ceramic master – the highest recognition in Swedish pottery. He is a master of the crystalline glazes which makes his artworks really unique. Isak is the only westerner who has received the Sen Hounzai Soshitsu Prize in Japan for his chawan. He as represented at a several museums, including the Swedish National Museum. It is in excellent condition. Isak is one of the most well known contemporary ceramic artists in Sweden.
