About the Item

It is an earthenware that seems to be from the late Yayoi period (1st to 3rd century). We recommend that you take the crack as a design and decorate it as an object. This earthenware is thought to have been mainly used for cooking and cooking rice in a form called a pot. The pot-shaped earthenware is called like this because it is in the form of earthenware seen in the Yayoi period and the Kofun period, and has a shape similar to a modern pot. However, modern pots are mainly containers for liquids such as water, but pot-shaped earthenware is one of the main uses for cooking, and many of them are used for storage. Pot-shaped earthenware is a kind of vessel established by changing from deep pot-shaped earthenware in the Jomon period, and in modern times, it is a pot and kettle. Also, there are many things with soot on the outside of the earthenware. Yayoi earthenware is an earthenware developed with the rice cultivation culture, and the shape and pattern are very simple compared to Jomon earthenware. It is characterized by the fact that it was made using a turntable and the pattern drawn with a comb. Yayoi earthenware is thinner and harder than Jomon earthenware, and is a reddish-brown earthenware, and is characterized by no simple geometric pattern or pattern. The firing temperature is also higher than the Jomon earthenware. In the Yayoi period, rice farming started in earnest and was transmitted to various parts of Japan.
