About the Item
Tokoname is a region located in Aichi Prefecture.
It is a pottery production center with a very old history in Japan (around the 12th century).
These jars were probably fired during the Muromachi period (14th to 16th centuries) and the Edo period (1603-1868).
It is fired in a kiln for a long time, and when the ashes are poured into the kiln, they melt and form a beautiful glaze.
Moreover, it takes about one month to fire one time.
And the urn has a beautifully balanced shape.
Also, the natural glaze is beautifully applied and there is a gradation in the color of the firing.
It is a very beautiful urn.
