Extraordinary museum quality contemporary Japanese hand-glazed decorative porcelain vase in a stunningly shape in black and brown, a masterpiece by a highly respected master porcelain artist from Arita-Imari region of Japan and the recipient of numerous prestigious awards for his exceptional and unique work.
The artist is a master of yusai techniques involving the multiple layering of different glazes that fuse together in reduction firing to create haunting visions of depth and movement. The unpredictability of the resulting colors and patterns underscores the appeal of his creations.
In addition to using precious metals such as gold and platinum to bring greater luminescence to his work, the artist has pioneered the application of ground zirconium to his carefully prepared glazes that creates a mesmerizing transparent effect that captivate the viewer.
This mesmerizing porcelain piece comes in a custom made wooden case signed by the artist.
