About the Item

There is a long crack that has been repaired. Detailed images 14th and 15th. There is no water leakage, but please refrain from leaving water in it for more than two days. Also, be sure to dry it thoroughly after use. This is a very old vase made in Korea. It is a yakishime pottery made between the 13th and 14th centuries. It was made during the Goryeo Dynasty, which existed from the 10th to 14th centuries. It is an excavated item. It is thought to have been imported to Japan around the time of World War II. This is a bottom turnip-shaped vase, a shape that can be seen around this time. It is thought to have been influenced by the design of vases from China and other countries. The mouth is trumpet-shaped, bulging from top to bottom, and has a characteristic smooth curve. In addition, a similar product was featured in a specialist book, so I will post a photo of it. There is also a long crack that has been repaired. Detailed images 14 and 15. There is no water leakage, but please refrain from leaving water in it for more than two days for the sake of preserving the pottery. Also, be sure to dry it thoroughly after use. The characteristic of this pottery is that the natural glaze created when it is fired in a kiln is very beautiful. This smooth green glaze gives the dry-looking pottery a glossy finish, creating a beautiful contrast. There are only a few of these, so they are highly valuable. You can put flowers in them to decorate them, but they are beautiful in themselves, so they have a great presence even if you just display them as they are. This is a rare item, so why not take this opportunity? It is a very modern and cool item that gives off a wabi-sabi vibe. I recommend it. Comes with a wooden storage box.
