About the Item

An elegant and highly collectible Swedish Art Deco pewter vase, designed by Sylvia Stave and produced by CG Hallberg, Stockholm, in 1931. The vase features a refined amphora-inspired form with a softly rounded body, flared neck, and two gracefully curved handles, reflecting the clean geometry and functional elegance that define Scandinavian Art Deco of the early 20th century. The restrained silhouette and balanced proportions make this piece both sculptural and timeless. The surface displays a beautiful aged patina, characteristic of early pewter, adding depth and historical character. The underside is clearly stamped with CG Hallberg, Stockholm, along with Swedish hallmarks and date mark for 1931, confirming authenticity. There is one small dent, discreet and unobtrusive, which does not detract from the overall aesthetic or presence of the piece. Designed by one of Sweden’s most important early modern designers, this vase represents a rare and desirable example of Nordic Art Deco pewter, suitable for collectors, design connoisseurs, or refined interiors.
