A striking large-scale teal art glass vase, hand-blown in Empoli, Italy, during the 1960s. Attributed to Rossini, a noted maker within the region’s mid-century glass production.
The vase features a tall, gently tapering body that swells at the centre before narrowing slightly at the base. It rests on a narrow, moulded pedestal foot, anchoring its sculptural silhouette. Vertical optic ribs subtly animate the surface, while the scalloped rim adds a subtle yet refined finishing detail.
Measuring approximately 36 cm in height and 12 cm in diameter, the vase is bold in presence yet balanced in form. The rich teal tone—classic of Empoli glass from this period—shifts with light, offering depth and tonal variation.
In very good vintage condition, showing only minor signs of age and use. A versatile and decorative piece of Italian modernist glass, suitable for display or use as a statement vessel.
