About the Item
A tall chinoiserie famille rose vase with a floral and bird motif. This gorgeous ceramic vessel will be fabulous on a center table, side table, or in a foyer on a credenza. The neck of the vase is fluted with a scalloped rim and features two foo dogs in green as handles. The piece is hand-painted on a pale blush ballet pink background. Pink Cherry Blossom branches are painted among a scene of a Phoenix in blue and red, on a tree branch. Purple and pink lotus flowers appear to spring up through blue mountains at the bottom. A stylized pattern decorates around the edges at the bottom. The rim is scalloped and glazed in a crisp white. Perhaps the most unusual part of this vase is the four blue geckos that adorn each side. In southeast Asia, geckos are considered lucky and to be protectors of the home. This piece is sure to bring luck (and a smile) to wherever it calls home.
