About the Item
This signed vase is a unique vintage Art Glass head sculpture, of modernist dynamic design. High quality of execution with the crystal clear body tinted with a top part in gradient lime green and decorated as a Picassian face in blown Murano glass, worked with colored glass threads in relief in orange, red, green, turquoise aquamarine blue tints to give depth and texture, with vivid blue eyes for a realistic impression. The flared base is highlighted with blue lines, is signed "Luigi Mellara" and bears a Murano glass label.
This production has been very limited, each piece individually crafted so that each head is different and has a unique expression. It makes a true conversation piece.
