About the Item
A Classic example of 1980s Postmodern Design in the style of Maitland Smith and Magnussen Ponte.
Vase, or Urn, features a striking contrast between raw and refined textures.
Divided into two distinct zones, the upper neck and shoulder are polished to a high-gloss, marble like finish. The lower body is left rough and "tessellated" featuring hand-cut, block-like pieces that give it a primitive architectural feel.
Color ranges from creamy beige and tan to a deep "fossil" brown.
