About the Item
Verreries d'Art de HEM manufactured this elegant 1930s French Art Deco black glass vase on a design created by Michel Herman. The vessel boasts a silver and pink salmon color deposit decoration on one side to create an exotic fish design pattern. The vase is marked "HEM" on the side. The stamp on the bottom is "Tchecoslovaquie," which indicates that it was manufactured in Czechoslovakia for the French and Belgian markets. Michel Herman was a well-known glassmaker in Paris during the 1930s. His known signature on the pieces is "HEM."
The vase is in fine original condition with some rubbing and age wear. There is a loss of silver deposit decoration. Check the pictures.
