About the Item
We offer for sale a splendid conical vase glazed in pear green and dating back to the mid-20th century.
Most likely made in Italy, where we purchased it, this vintage vase has a multi-level structure, globular at the base, it transforms into a conical shape from half its height to its opening.
Like an inverted vortex spiral, the concentric circles reduce until the opening, going from 32 cm to 9.5 cm.
This vase mixes many styles together, the monoblock of color and the essential design reminds me of Northern European design, the soft conical shape of the tajines, the splendid Maghreb pots in cooked earth, while the many overlapping concentric rings are the neck rings worn by Padaung women between Myanmar and Thailand.
Perfect to be placed alone on a sideboard but also combined with other ceramic pieces.
You can see it in the photo combined with some pieces from our selection, a 50s smoking set and a ministerial brass table lamp.
The item is in good vintage condition, with minimal imperfections visible in the photos.
