About the Item
This striking mid-century Italian vase stands an impressive 45 cm (17.7 in) tall, making it a rare large-format example of hand-painted ceramic work from this period. Its sculptural, asymmetrical rim and elegant tapered form create a bold silhouette, further enhanced by the dramatic vertical glazing in soft teal, grey, and charcoal tones.
The front features a beautifully stylised gazelle surrounded by foliage and berries, executed in vivid colours and outlined with fine hand-painted detailing—an iconic mid-century Italian decorative theme. The piece is marked “15 CY Italy” on the underside, indicating small-series atelier production.
In very good condition, with no chips, no hairlines.
