About the Item

Mid-Century Italian Murano Glass Vase with Bollicine Pattern, 1950s Elegant hand-blown Murano glass vase from Italy, dating to the 1950s. The piece features a refined teardrop-shaped body with a slender, slightly flared neck and a white glass interior layer that enhances the depth and luminosity of the surface. The glass displays a beautiful interplay of golden brown and dark espresso tones, enriched by a delicate bollicine effect, a multitude of tiny air bubbles captured within the glass during the blowing process. These organic patterns create a natural, almost woodgrain-like texture, typical of mid-century Murano craftsmanship. A striking example of Italian glass artistry from the postwar era, combining technical mastery with a timeless sculptural presence. This vase is in the style of Paolo Venini, whose work epitomized the sophisticated artistry of Italian glass from the 1950s. The vase remains in beautiful vintage condition with minimal wear consistent with age, including a few tiny nicks to the rim. Please review all photos for details.
