Mid-Century Modern Organic Round Stoneware Vase, Denmark, 1960s
Danish stoneware vase in an organic round form, handcrafted by an independent ceramic artist in the 1960s. A fine example of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern design, where simplicity, material, and function meet in perfect balance.
The surface features a soft, mottled glaze in warm brown tones with cream and beige undertones, closely related to the traditional “hare’s fur” ceramic glaze seen in classic Danish pottery. The glaze creates a subtle depth and texture, enhancing the sculptural quality of the piece.
Though executed in stoneware, the vase carries a refined ceramic expression that is both understated and timeless.
Condition: One small chip at the foot, otherwise in very good vintage condition. Please see all photos for details.
