About the Item

Lovely sang de boeuf color mottled glaze covers the very dark brown body of this 1950s URANIA ceramic vase by Ursula Fesca for Wächtersbach Keramik. In Very Good condition with no issues. Founded by Prince Adolf of Ysenburg and Büdingen originaly located near Wächtersbach in the Hesse region of Germany has been producing ceramics since 1832. Bought by Könitz Group in 2006 and closing production in Germany in 2011. Wächtersbach Keramik known for production of bold colors durable earthenware and introducing underglaze printing. Under Ursula Fesca in the 1930s, modern Bauhaus influenced creations were produced. Measurements: 11 inches high x 7 1/2 inches diameter - opening 31/2 inches wide
