About the Item

This beautiful Mid-Century Modernist Balustrade Form Hand-Blown Blue Glass Vase is by Oiva Toikka and originates from Finland, Circa 1960. Featuring a balustrade form multi-tiered silhouette in a lovely translucent blue glass. This undulating profile creates an excellent rhythm and contrast to the flattened base and top of the vase, which expands over the edge of the base drawing the eye to the top of the piece and elevating the vase and providing a moment of geometric contrast to whatever is placed within.
