Monumental Pair of Gilt-Bronze Mounted Cut Crystal Vases
Each of impressive baluster form, composed of finely diamond-cut crystal with a flaring rim, central knop, and spreading circular foot, all mounted with richly chased ormolu foliate mounts, including acanthus scroll handles and laurel sprays. The glass with superb clarity and hand-cut precision, resting on a molded gilt-bronze base with egg-and-dart border.

Note: Such grand-scale crystal and ormolu vases were often produced in France during the late 19th century by firms such as Baccarat or Cristalleries de Saint Louis, catering to the opulent interiors of the Second Empire and Belle Époque periods.
