About the Artist:
Born in 1914, Anzolo Fuga hailed from one of Murano’s most distinguished glassmaking families. His father, Emilio Fuga, directed the Cristalleria di Venezia e Murano, while his mother, Adelaide Barovier, was the daughter of Giuseppe Barovier, linking him to the legendary Barovier
Toso dynasty.
Fuga studied at the Istituto d’Arte di Venezia and, between 1955 and 1968, designed for A.Ve.M., one of Murano’s most important glasshouses. He passed away in 1988, leaving behind an extraordinary body of work that remains highly sought after by collectors worldwide.
