About the Item
Beautiful, and rare, Murano hand blown rich ruby red layered Italian Art Deco glass flower vase. Created by Giuseppe Chiacigh, Italian painter and designer, for Vetrerie Artistiche Cirilo Maschio Glassworks. The glassworks was active between 1932 and 1938 in Murano, Italy. The piece has beautiful shape, with unusual applied snake handle decoration on the sides. The vase also has an applied circular ring as the base. It is acid signed "Made In Italy" underneath, inside a diamond mark. There is a thin layer of white in between the red layers, which you can see on the rim. The rim is a little uneven as you can see on the main photo. Would make a great display piece on any cabinet, vanity or console table. Rare collectors item! Measures: 8 7/8" tall x 5" wide.
