About the Item
This Murano glass vase is very impressive and its color is so lively. Its color is very unusual as it is deep apricot orange . It is all hand decorated with the technique of rostrato: spikes of glass have been individually pulled in relief to reach this spectacular 3 D effect .This technique is typically Venetian and requires very skilled artisans. Indeed, craftsmen must be very quick in order to pull out all the spikes while temperature is hot enough.
Its textured and sculptural finish plays with lights and reflects.
Its thick walled casing glass produces a lot of iridescent reflects.
Moreover, photos don't do it justice as it is far more beautiful in real than on photos.
Its shape and its wonderful color will make a conversation piece in all beautiful interiors and it would match with contemporary, modern, mid century or art deco interiors.
