About the Item

Pair early 19th century French Vieux Parishand-painted porcelain vases feature a religious theme, painted on one side with the name of Jesus, and on the other Marie, the French spelling for the Madonna. Classical Greco-Roman architecture is enhanced by the gold trim hand-applied from the rim to the base. Examples such as these are only getting more rare every year as the inevitable losses from the ravages of time take their toll. Circa 1830s Each measures 8.5H x 4.5W x 3.5D
