About the Item

I am a big fan of the Alfredo Barbini Cube series - the collection of Murano glass works characterized by his hand-blown cubic shapes, each with their irregular openings. These two vases - one tall and one cubic - date from around 1972. The tall vase is exceptionally weighty and both vases have a distinctive hand-blown opening. The cubic vase is signed Barbini on the base and the tall vase has its original sticker. Alfredo Barbini (1912-2007) was a master of Murano glass and known for his innovative designs and artisanal techniques, significantly influencing Venetian glass art. (Please note in some photos you will also see the wonderful organic Barbini bowl which is sold seprately and available on the website.) A set of seven hand-blown iridescent deep blue/green leaf bowls by Alfredo Barbini, Ermenegildo Ripa, Murano, circa 1950. With a large leaf serving bowl and six small bowls, this is a complete set in excellent condition. Perfect for both collectors and lovers of sculptural glass, these bowls are great for display or for smart dinners serving gelato or fruit salad. Dimensions: Large leaf Bowl...
