About the Item

A most elegant and small scale pair of French 19th century purple glass and Ormolu mounted vases. The pair are raised on square Ormolu bases with concave corners. Above is the circular pedestal with a fluted design below the tapered stem. Above is the attractive baluster shaped purple glass vase with top interior and exterior swaging gilt decorations with little gilt dots. The top of the urns are richly decorated by a dentil designed Ormolu rim.
