About the Item

Pair of French Blue Opaline Glass Vases with Hand-Painted Botanical Motifs, 1890s Elegant pair of hand-blown French opaline glass vases from the 1890s. Each vase is crafted in a delicate periwinkle blue opaline glass, which is a hallmark of late 19th-century French production. Beautifully hand-painted with stylized botanical motifs in a bronze-brown hue. Thin gilt lines accent the rim and base, adding subtle refinement. The vases feature a classic Art Nouveau silhouette with gently flared lips and rounded bases. The pontil marks on the underside indicate their hand-blown origin. Very good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. Please see all photos for details. Dimensions: Height: 7.4 in (18.8 cm) Diameter (top): 2.8 in (7.1 cm) Diameter (base): 2.6 in (6.7 cm)
