About the Item

These highly decorative pair of English, late 19th-century reticulated porcelain vases by Royal Crown Derby, date to approximately 1880. Each vase is beautifully hand-painted with vibrant bird and floral scenes around the body, rendered in delicate, naturalistic colors against a soft ivory ground. The sculptural openwork lattice rising from the shoulder is highlighted with heavy gold embellishment and is topped with a richly gilded flared rim--creating a dramatic and refined silhouette. These elegant vases showcase the finest level of Victorian English porcelain craftsmanship. Both cases retain clear Crown Derby factory marks, confirming authenticity and period. This form and quality were produced for the luxury export and exhibition market and represent some of the most sought-after decorative wares of the period.
