Pair of Sculptural Mid-Century Brutalist Ceramic Vases with Hare's Fur Glaze, 1960s
A pair of handmade, sculptural mid-century stoneware vases with organically flowing silhouettes and an oval opening through the center. The surface is richly textured in a brown, softly mottled glaze reminiscent of classic "hare’s fur" glazing techniques. The color is warm brown with tonal variation.
The clay body and glaze treatment indicate skilled craftsmanship rooted in Scandinavian ceramic traditions. Each piece is signed with the number 22076 incised directly into the clay on the underside.
Elegant and distinctive in form, these vases display beautifully on their own or as part of a larger arrangement. The raw, tactile surface combined with the modernist form gives them a timeless, sculptural presence.
Very good vintage condition with natural irregularities from the handmade process.
