About the Item
Pair of contemporary faceted optical glass square vases by Veritas, Texas, 2016, each hand-crafted in crystal-clear optical glass. The thick, heavyweight block form is precision-cut with a uniform pattern of pyramidal facets on all sides, refracting light to produce striking depth and internal brilliance. The squared silhouette gives these pieces a bold architectural presence, making them equally suited as statement modern glass centrepieces or minimalist vessels for floral arrangements.
Veritas Glass, founded in Texas by glassmaker Kathleen Allen, was recognised for its precision-cut optical glass and contemporary design language. While Veritas is no longer in operation, Allen now creates under the brand KA Glass, continuing her commitment to clarity, form, and meticulous craftsmanship. Works from the Veritas period, such as this pair, mark the early evolution of her signature style and are increasingly sought after by collectors of modern American art glass.
Each vase measures 15 cm wide by 15 cm deep and 16 cm high. In very good condition, with minimal signs of age and use. The undersides are etched with the Veritas insignia, confirming authenticity.
