Jacqueline Harberink is a Dutch ceramicist renowned for her handmade porcelain creations, each embodying timeless design. In 2021, she established her brand, JHA Porcelain, and opened her atelier and shop in Florence's Santa Croce district (Italy). This multifunctional space serves as a studio where Jacqueline crafts her pieces, a retail gallery for her works, and a venue for ceramic courses and workshops. Her contemporary collection includes unique plates, vases, home accessories, tableware, and jewelry, all crafted using various techniques such as shellac, rice-grain, and nerikomi. Drawing inspiration from organic forms in nature and architectural patterns, her Nordic minimalist style offers a tactile experience through the surfaces of her pieces. Jacqueline also accepts custom orders for functional, decorative, or bespoke items. Jacqueline was born in Enschede, the Netherlands. Having graduated in law in Amsterdam, she embarked on a career as a lawyer however she soon realized the lack of a higher purpose in her life. Always fascinated by the power of beauty to make people happy, she fell in love with porcelain; when she moved to Madrid she decided to take a ceramic course at the Moncloa Ceramics School. After long reflection and numerous courses in Spain, the Netherlands and Italy, she decided to follow her passion and dedicate herself full time to porcelain. “I strongly believe that being surrounded by beauty, contributes to people’s inner beauty.”
