About the Item

Pink Flowers Duet Vase in Clear Murano Glass and Gold Leaf Venice Italy 1970s. Completely handcrafted in the 1970s, this vase is the result of the finest blown glass technique from Murano, the Venetian island famous for its unrivalled glass tradition. Entirely made of transparent glass, the vase is enriched by submerged gold leaf, which is sprinkled all over the main body. The gold leaf decoration creates a very special effect, as it is not uniform but intensifies where the glass is thicker, such as on the bottom of the vase and in the cap; creating unique golden shades. The beauty of the vase is then enhanced by a couple of glass flowers in delicate pink and gold with green leaves. Looking towards the top of the vase, a green spiral winds along its neck and a richly decorated cap with a leaf motif completes this work of art. This vase stands out for its timeless elegance, typical of the best Italian blown glass tradition, and is suitable for any décor. As documented by the attached pictures, it is in perfect conditions and intact in every detail.
