About the Item

A rare large Japanese Ginbari enamel over copper vase. The urn shaped vase is enameled with a polychrome design representing cranes, hens, roosters and other birds made in the Ginbari Cloisonne technique. Ginbari is a Japanese cloisonne technique when clear enamel is laid over a stippled silver layer applied to the copper sheet body. The base is adorned with a geometrical motif. Numbered on the bottom. Antique and Vintage Asian and Oriental Enamel Vases, Table Wares, Home Decor, and Collectibles. Dimensions: 12 x 5 in. All measurements are approximate. Condition Overall good vintage condition. Signs of wear and age. Refer to photos.
