About the Item
A large round vase by French manufacturer Faienceries et Emaux de Longwy, named "Jazzy" and designed by Danillo Curetti in the 1980's. This piece is rare, numbered no. 4 from a limited edition of only 25 pieces. The design echoes Art Deco shapes with a French "bleu-blanc-rouge" colour theme. At center a stylised silhouette of a female dancer, perhaps inspired by American artist-performers Josephine Baker and Grace Jones both of whom were very succesful in Paris. The piece is fully signed at reverse bottom, it is in very good original condition.
