Rare XL Scheurich vase depicting a gladiator and chariot with 2 horses, colored black and red on a turquoise glazed background, hand-painted vase. Collector's item West Germany vase from the 1960s-70s, numbered 546-50 at the bottom.
West Germany was actually a collective name for ceramics that came onto the market roughly between 1950 and 1990. Some well-known names are Roth, Carstens, Ruscha, Jopeko, Jasba, Fohr, but the greatest were perhaps Scheurich and Bay.
