Made by Annikki Hovisaari for Arabia, Finland, 1960s
Great condition.
Incised signature 'AH' and 'ARABIA'.
Annikki Hovisaari (1918–2004) was one of Finland’s leading ceramic artists in the 20th century. After her art studies at the Central School of Industrial Arts in Helsinki, she worked for the Arabia factory in the 1940s–1970s. She was a prominent artist specializing in high quality stoneware artwork. Annikki’s artistry is represented at the numerous museums in the Nordic countries.
