Master ceramist Patrizia Italiano drew inspiration from Sicilian local market sellers for her one-off series of stunning anthropomorphic ceramic vessels. Playful and intense, this head-shaped vase depicts Riccardo - street watermelon vendor - as incorporated with the fruit distinguishing his job. Vibrant green and red enamels accent the dramatic face traits, including the ears ironically shaped as watermelon slices.
