About the Item
Elegant Richard Satava American Art Glass Vase featuring a floral flower design reminiscent of early Tiffany Studios vases of the early 20th century. The body of this art glass vase is a deep rich blue with masterfully executed flowers of a coral, slightly orange hue with murrine cane centers. The stems and leaves are equally mesmerizing showcasing various shades of green giving a three dimensional visual effect. Perfect proportions and excellent condition.

One of the pioneers of the American studio art glass movement, Richard Satava creates unique and modern works of art, individually crafted, by expertly combining the highest level of technical skills as well as artistic creativity. Richard Satava was introduced to glassblowing in 1969 while at Ocean High School in Pacifica, California. He subsequently studied art and glassblowing at the College of San Mateo and California State University, Chico, where he received his B.A. of Fine Arts in glass.
