About the Item
Set of 3 ceramic vases in beige-brown earth tones. They come with a discrete glaze. Scandinavian Mid-Century ceramic.
Produced in the 1960s by Palshus (Denmark), founded by Per and his wife Annelise Linnemann-Schmidt. The impressed patterns on two of them and the characteristic shape for a vase are both trademarks of the creators.
The couple created and produced chamotte (danish clay) objects, often with impressed decorations (tableware, vases, and lamps). Colors were characteristic Scandinavian earthy tones: blues, browns, greens and beige.
Many other talented ceramic artists also worked for Palshus including Jens H. Quistgaard and Esben Klint.
The vases are signed under the base : Palshus and APLS / PLS for Annelise Per Linnemann-Schmidt, model 201.
