This set of 4 miniature vases was designed by Gunnar Borg for the Swedish manufacture Gunnars Keramik Höganäs during the 1960s. Handmade by the Master, with the utmost care and attention to detail. Vases colored in irregular shades of brown and navy blue. Signed with the author's signature and the manufacturer's brand. Two of them marked with an individual number 113 and 71
Gunnar Borg (1926 - 2007) is still one of the leading representatives of Scandinavian ceramic design of the 20th century. Known for miniature, handmade ceramic and stoneware objects, mainly vases. He also created lamp bases, cups, decorative bowls and ashtrays. He started his career at the age of 14 at Andersson
Johansson in Höganäs. From 1940, he worked there for the next 28 years. The artist's creativity and craftsmanship can be seen in every item. In 1968, Borg founded his own workshop, where he operated until his death.
Gunnars Keramik Höganäs was founded in 1968 by Gunnar Borg, a leading representative of 20th century Scandinavian ceramic design. After leaving Andersson
Johansson, he continued to produce miniature vases, lamp bases, candlesticks and ashtrays on his own. He used white stoneware clay brought from the Netherlands. Borg worked in his workshop until his death in 2007.
This set is in original vintage condition.
