About the Item

Impressive set of two vases, so-called Imari, made in the Meiji period - late 19th century, originals from Japan. These vases are in impressive original condition. They have the typical bulbous shape and feature the typical Imari painting. The large cartouches feature sophisticated floral motifs, connected by medallions depicting impressive phoenixes. Masterfully hand-painted, a true feast for the eyes. The underside bears the iron-red mark. Approximate dimensions of each: height 8,54 in - 21,7 cm, diameter 5,91 in - 15 cm. A wonderful, high-quality set of original Japanese Imari vases that will enhance your interior.
