About the Item

An outstanding set of three postmodern ceramic vases by Austrian artist and designer Heide Warlamis (born 1942). Part of Warlamis' Vienna Collection design series, these vases utilizes a fantastic mix of curved, angular, and graduated shapes and a mix of orange, red, green, yellow, and several shades of blue. Warlamis founded her Vienna studio focusing on small sculptures in 1975. In 1981, Warlamis began the development of her porcelain Vienna Collection designs, which are influenced by the Vienna Secessionist Movement and the Memphis Milano designs of Ettore Sottsass and Alessandro Mendini of the 1980s. In very good condition with light shelf wear. Marked on underside "Vienna Collection Heide Warlamis. Smaller vases are 3.5" x 3.5" x 8" Larger vases are 3.5" x 3.5" x 9"
