About the Item

Pair of Sèvres porcelain vases, 19th century, height 42 cm. Each vase is finely hand-painted with equestrian scenes inspired by the Napoleonic era, signed H. Desprez. The bases bear the official marks of the Manufacture nationale de Sèvres, confirming an authentic production. H. Desprez (active circa 1830–1860) was a French porcelain painter known for his historical and figurative scenes. He collaborated with several leading manufactures and Parisian workshops, including Sèvres, where his signed works appear on official productions.
