About the Item
A very rare Ando Jubei (1876-1956) Rose vase on imperial yellow background in excellent condition. In classic form using colored enamels of burgundy, cream, pink and green to depict roses in full bloom and bud form. Meticulously finished to achieve perfect smoothness. Rims and bases are hand finished in silver metal. Stamped with the artist's signature mark on the base. This refined piece dates to late Meiji period and remain as one of the finest and collectible works by the celebrated artist.
