About the Item

Attributed to Møller Bøgely, small stoneware vase. Made around 1918–1922. The vase is decorated with a relief pattern and glaze in shades of brown and deep blue with lively surface effects. Classic rounded form with distinct relief ornamentation. Indistinctly signed on the underside. Origin: Denmark Period: Circa 1918–1922 Maker: Attributed to Møller Bøgely Material: Stoneware Condition: With glaze chips, see photos Dimensions: H. 10 cm, D. 13.5 cm A beautiful and decorative piece of Danish ceramics, showing the sense of glaze and form associated with the works of Møller Bøgely. Møller Bøgely Keramik was active in Denmark during the period circa 1918–1922 and is especially known for decorative utilitarian and ornamental stoneware, often featuring strong glazes and sculptural reliefs. Their works are today sought after by collectors of Danish ceramics.
