French Art Deco Frosted Glass Vase by SPV (Espaivet), Paris, 1920.
A striking French Art Deco frosted glass vase created by SPV – Société Parisienne de Verreries, located at 112 boulevard Auguste Blanqui, Paris, and produced between 1920 and 1935. This sculptural piece shows the refined geometric lines and elegant translucence characteristic of the best Parisian glasswork of the interwar period.
The vase’s stylized relief pattern and satin-frosted finish place it stylistically close to the creations of René Lalique and André Hunebelle, making it an exceptional addition for collectors of early 20th-century French decorative arts.

About Espaivet / SPV (Société Parisienne de Verreries)
Espaivet, the artistic name used by SPV, was an influential but relatively rare French glassmaking atelier active in Paris during the Art Deco period. Working in molded, frosted, and pressed glass, the studio produced decorative vases, bowls, and lighting known for their bold geometric motifs and refined matte finishes. While less widely documented than major contemporaries, Espaivet’s work is highly regarded today for its quality craftsmanship and its clear stylistic dialogue with the great French glassmakers of the 1920s and 1930s.
