About the Item
A very fine and impressive Scottish mid-century art glass vase in orange and green by Vasart and dating from around 1950. The hand-blown glass vase stands on a flat narrow rounded foot rim with a customary central flat cut and slightly raised polished pontil mark. The body of the vase is made in the ever-popular opaque mottled orange finish with green applied around the neck and opening. The vase is of round bulbous shape with a wide conical shaped neck and has an etched VASART signature mark to the foot.
Provenance: acquired in the UK Art Market.
A stunning example offered in good condition with usual signs of wear associated with age and use.
