About the Item

Set consisting of vase and ashtray in ultramarine blue glazed ceramic, produced in the early 1970s by Bertoncello Ceramiche based on a design by Roberto Rigon, a well-known ceramic designer of the period. The condition is excellent, the items have no defects. Still present is the label on the jar. THE HISTORY OF THE COMPANY: Founded in 1956 in Ischia by the partners Lini, Pizzato and Bertoncello under the name " LPB," soon changed its name to "Bertoncello Ceramiche d'Arte" with the exclusive management of Giovanni Bertoncello, who, thanks to his great artistic and entrepreneurial skills, brought his ceramics to success both in Italy and abroad. Modern-type production consists of ceramics with organic forms , decorated with often monochrome glazes in shades of ochre and beige, or decorated with drippings of bright colors such as green, orange, and blue.
